1. Read the problem e.g 2/3:1/2
2. Transfer it into word e.g. "How many 1/2 in 2/3"
3. make the fraction bar of first fraction e.g 2/3 and label it clearly
4. make the fraction bar of the divisor e.g 1/2 and label it clearly
5. Now make the fraction bar of the first fraction again, the one that have been divided/ cut off, to show the end result.
6. Write the end result, so 2/3:1/2 is 1 1/3
7. In addition, you may add the math operation for this division e.g. 2/3 : 1/2 = 2/3 x 2/1 = 4/3 = 1 1/3
